Central Co-op launched ‘Our Malawi Partnership’ on 2nd July 2022. 18 months of planning preceded the public launch, and the investment is now beginning to pay dividends with visibility and impact developing. So much has been achieved in the first year.

Over 800 co-operative smallholder farmers trained in the production and use of organic fertiliser across coffee, tea, nuts and rice production.

  • Organic fertilizers are rich in matter that enhances the biological activity of soils, thereby also improving and sustaining their biodiversity.
  • Organic fertiliser use is crucial in moving towards sustainable, climate smart agriculture.
